Denise Clark
About the Artist
Denise Clark works mainly in pastels. She is self-taught and considers herself to be learning all the time! In recent years, Denise's work has been shortlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London and also the Royal West of England Academy annual open exhibition in Bristol. In October 2019 she was awarded second prize in the Oexmann Art Competition in Devizes for her picture 'Snail and Cat'. Her pastel portrait 'Bull Terrier' also received a 'highly commended' from the judges.She was awarded 'The Hartley Cup' by the Stoke Poges and Wexham Women's Institute for best drawing in show, 2012, 2013, 2018 and 2019.
Denise has completed many commissions. As well as being a member of the Guild of Wiltshire Artists, she is also a member of Marlborough Artists.
