About the Artist
Drawing has been my favoured form of expression for as long as I can remember. I did 'O' and 'A' level art and got a distinction in art at teacher training college.
I taught art in a secondary school for 3 years after which it remained as a hobby until I retired from working in Community Education in Coventry inner city. I did enjoy using my own pottery kiln hand building 'amusing' characters and all sorts of garden pots.
Since then I have been a member of, and exhibited with, several art groups in the West Midlands area. I was awarded the Visitors' Favourite painting Trophy in 2015 in the Coventry Arts Consortium Exhibition. I also enjoyed being a member of two self help portrait painting groups.
Having moved to South Cerney in 2016 I have been able to join several local art groups as well as being invited to join The Guild of Wiltshire Artists.
I mostly prefer a loose style and enjoy working with watercolour, pastel, acrylic, inks, silk paints and clay.
