About the Artist
I retired from Wiltshire Police in 2017 having completed 32 years service. I wanted to do something completely different and was looking for a new life adventure. I realised that I was constantly drawn to pictures made from a process called reduction Lino printing and purchased a started kit to try out on the kitchen table. I have never looked back, and I have moved on from the kitchen table.
Reduction Lino printing is using one block of Lino to print every colour, each time a colour is printed more of the surface of the Lino is carved away, reducing the surface area. I aim to make editions of 10, but the printmaking pixies are not always kind and I normally end up with 7 or 8 hand printed images all slightly different but forming an edition.
My work has been selected for several open exhibitions and is in private collections around the world, including America, Canada, Australia and Japan. I am a co-owner of The Corsham Gallery and a member of The Wychwood Art Gallery.
I am happy to discuss commissions.
