About the Artist
I have been drawing and painting on and off for many years, but with many big gaps due to family and work commitments. In 1980 I went to night school and took my GCE 'O' level Art gaining a grade B pass. I originally painted in oils, but changed to watercolour after a break from art of 16 years.
I was a member of the Frimley and Camberley Society of Artists for many years and sold a couple of paintings at their exhibitions. I have also done a few commissions, mainly of pets.
I retired in 2012 and moved to Wiltshire from Surrey. I joined the Royal Wootton Bassett and District Art Society at the beginning of 2014 and have taken up my art again with renewed effort.
I now use a variety of media including watercolour, pastel and more recently coloured pencils. I enjoy doing botanical studies, still life and animal portraits. I work from a mixture of photographs and live subject matter.
I enjoy doing workshops and going to demonstrations in different disciplines to broaden my artistic horizons.
