About the Artist
My love of Art started at school, more recently completing an Open University History of Art degree, graduating with a 2:1 BA Hons.
Just before lockdown, I attended an art class and this triggered a renewed passion. Eager to improve, I joined online sessions with artists such as Jamel Akib and Peter Keegan, whose encouragement helped me broaden my artistic horizons across a wide range of different disciplines.
Working mainly in oils and water-soluble oils, I paint all types of subject matter. Whilst tending towards an impressionistic style, I also love a challenge and am constantly striving to improve and experiment by attending courses and demos etc. In coming late to Art, I have much to do to ‘catch up’
I joined the Lawrence Art Society in Devizes and, enjoying the sociable side of being with other artists, this led to me starting the Bishops Cannings Art Club. In the autumn, I am also looking forward to teaching and fostering the joy in Art to the local schoolchildren.
I am proud and delighted to have been invited to join the Guild of Wiltshire Artists and believe there is so much more to be learned in the company of more experienced artists.
