Sally Turner
About the Artist
My first real emotional experience of being in touch with my creations started when I was 16 and dealing with my feelings, it has helped me through ever since, especially in 2020....
After leaving school I went to art college and studied Graphics, then went on to work in the industry until my children came along. I have always painted in my spare time, but the last year has helped me to develop which subjects I am most interested in, these are local landscapes, natural found objects, plants and flowers. I love to work in oils but have decided now that it takes too long and so have now swapped over to acrylics. My practice has developed in the last year due to watching youtube videos - MOMA, Tate and taking part in the Royal Academy zoom lessons. I have enjoyed being more experimental and it has loosened up my work, translating the love of my subjects into my own interpretations.
