About the Artist
For as long as I can remember I have loved painting and drawing. As a result I attended Bournemouth and Poole College of Art for four years studying Graphics and design, and finally specialising in illustration.
I left Bournemouth for the bright lights of London and my first 'proper job' was working on the 'Yellow Submarine' animation film as a painter. This required a high degree of accuracy but no real design talent, plus the will to socialize - an excellent transition from student to working life...........!
This led to a role as a production control assistant with a London book publisher, whilst undertaking various freelance illustration projects.
After 5 years in London I married and moved to Gloucestershire. Over the next 15 years I practically gave up painting, instead concentrating on the role of wife and mother, various home renovations in the Cotswold area, and assisting in the family business.
Around 10 years ago I began painting again, and attended various training classes and workshops, experimenting with many mediums. I have settled for working with watercolours and pen and ink, and subjects mainly include landscapes, flowers and animals.
