Janet Jones

About the Artist

Janet finds the inspiration for her paintings from around her; the rich colours of nature through the seasons, the Cotswold stone buildings and the animals she sees. Living on a farm Janet loves to paint the animals, capturing their characters on canvas. She loves to paint pets as well, having a cat and dog herself.

Janet studied Art/Architecture at school, where she achieved an 'A' Level GCE. This has led to her love of painting the houses locally, and a passion for the buildings and colours of Italy, particularly scenes of Venice.

She is a member of The Guild of Wiltshire Artists, Highworth Artists' Society and Lechlade Art Society, where she regularly exhibits.

She paints in watercolour, acrylic, pastel and pen and wash. She undertakes commissions.
