About the Artist
Having worked as a dentist for 25 years as well as raising a family of three boys, I embraced retirement and began to spend more time on my occasional hobby, painting.
Since becoming a lady of ‘leisure’ I have enjoyed experimenting with a variety of mediums, subjects and styles using acrylics, oils, pastels and pencils, for portraiture, still life and landscapes, although not all at the same time! My current favourite is loose pastel portraiture, however that could change tomorrow.
I recently dipped my toe into loose watercolours, which, so far, has proved the most challenging.
I have been lucky enough to sell a few paintings and have had commissions for several dog portraits.
I have had no formal training as such but have enjoyed many years of art based courses at Marlborough College Summer School, and have also been a regular atendee at Kim Vine’s monthly art group in Crofton. These, together with painting holidays in India, Spain, Tresco, Italy and the UK, have broadened my interest and experience in all things artistic and I look forward to increasing both in the coming years.
